Me, personally?

I question conventional wisdom about stocks. Frankly, there's so much to read, listen, and learn.
Some people say to "buy what you know". Yeah, I don't believe that for a minute.
Some people watch charts. Yeah, who wants to sit around watching charts all day trying to squeeze out money. From what I understand, that works for like less than one percent of people.
The best strategy seems to be buying index funds and just holding them "forever". Sounds good, but doesn't sounds as good when the market is down 25 percent of so in a year.

What i do know about stocks, is when they are doing well, you start to hear random people start to talk about the stock market. When they are aren't doing well, everyone goes quiet.
